Thymosin α1 (Tα1)

A 28-amino-acid immune-modulating peptide from the thymus gland. Tα1 is a T-cell enhancer – it improves T-lymphocyte maturation and function, and modulates cytokine production. Clinically it’s used in some countries for chronic Hepatitis B/C and as an immune adjuvant in infections and cancer. Research uses 2 mg vials to investigate Tα1’s ability to augment immune responses (for example, improving vaccine efficacy or combating sepsis). It also shows anti-inflammatory effects by promoting regulatory T-cells.
